CJC-1295 (No DAC) Research Overview

Last updated:

CJC-1295 (No DAC) -- also studied under the designation Mod GRF (1-29) -- is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), lacking the Drug Affinity Complex modification of the original CJC-1295 molecule and therefore shorter-acting than that variant.

CJC-1295 (No DAC) has no approved human medical indication and has not been evaluated by the FDA or any other regulatory body for safety or efficacy in humans. Published research on CJC-1295 (No DAC) is overwhelmingly preclinical: conducted in vitro (cell and tissue culture) or in animal models, primarily rodents. We are not aware of well-controlled human clinical trials establishing a therapeutic effect for any condition.

Preclinical research on GHRH analogs including CJC-1295 (No DAC) is concentrated in growth-hormone-axis physiology:

  • Growth-hormone secretion research — animal and in vitro pituitary studies have examined GHRH-analog binding and its effect on growth-hormone secretion from somatotroph cells.
  • GHRH receptor pharmacology — receptor-binding studies have characterized how GHRH analogs of this class interact with the GHRH receptor relative to native GHRH.

These are summaries of published research topics, not claims about what this product does, and animal-model findings do not establish an effect in humans. See References below to search the primary literature directly.

Limitations

State of the Evidence

Published pharmacology for GHRH analogs in this class is concentrated in receptor-binding and animal secretion studies; human dose-response and long-term safety data specific to CJC-1295 (No DAC) are limited outside of the approved-drug literature for other GHRH-axis compounds.
